MEET BILL

PROVEN LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Councilman Bill Murphy represents the 2nd Ward on the Greece Town Board. The 2nd ward is very large and primarily encompasses the center of town from Straub Road to north of Latta Road and from Mt. Read Blvd. to North Avenue. Bill was elected in 2017 and is serving his first 2-year term in office. Bill is currently seeking his 2nd term on the Greece Town Board. Bill is a Republican, a retired Greece Police Officer and former Chief of Police with the Village of Holley, with 31 years of public service. His whole adult life, he has served in public service. Bill has lived in the Town of Greece for 26 years and has made Greece him home with his wife Cindy and three children.

Bill was born and raised in Albion, Orleans County, where he attended Albion High School. After graduation, Bill attended Genesee Community College and received an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice before starting his career in Law Enforcement. Bills public service interest came early in life by watching his brothers serve as police officers.
